FAQs

I’d like to book a session, what’s next?

So great. Just hit the contact now button and tell me a little more about who it is you would like captured and your preferable location. I will send you more information tailored to your session through your very own online portal. Through this, you’ll be able to access your quote and details to lock in a 50% non-refundable deposit to confirm your booking. There is also a contract for you to sign and accept to make sure we both are on the same page for your session.

Once that’s done, that’s it! I will be in contact leading up to the day, then I’ll see you at your session.

What to wear?

Firstly, take a look at my images on my website & Instagram and get a feel from the clothing worn by previous clients. Mostly you’ll see lots of neutral colours. My go to advice is to think beige, cream, tan, olive, mustard and dusty pinks. These are ever so gorgeous and work well with my style of photography. I will send you a style guide if you are totally stuck or are looking for inspiration. Ensuring outfits are coordinated, avoiding matchy-matchy as this will date! You’re welcome to send me any screenshots of clothes to help you coordinate! Pinterest is also great for inspiration.

What happens if it rains?

If your session is booked for the outdoors and rain is on the horizon, we will reschedule to the next closest suitable date! I’ll send you my number after you’ve made your booking confirmation and will be in contact with you. You are always welcome to transfer your booking to any of my packages.

How long until I receive my gallery?

Up to 3 weeks after your session, your full gallery will be ready to view via your online portal!  You can pick and choose your favourites from here as part of your purchase. If you have selected the Full Gallery Upgrade, you will receive all the edited images from the session - great if you’re indecisive and want them all!

Can we order prints?

Yes, yes and yes. This is the best way to preserve those memories. Make them tangible! Once your gallery is delivered, you’ll be abel to click the ‘print store’ link to prices for printing your images online. If your ideal size is unavailable online, please get in contact to print locally to your sizes. Whether it be the whole gallery in 6x4’s or enlarging them to an A1 and have it framed, you decide! I source my printing through a local Gold Coast printing company that deliver top notch quality with over 17 years experience in a photo lab .

In home sessions, what do I need to do?

For any in-home sessions, the first thing you need to do is not worry about your house and whether it is ‘photographable’ or not! Every home has windows, every home has a place to work with. I will mainly focus on just a few rooms of the house so that you don’t need to worry about the whole house! It’s always good to do a walk around the home and hide anything you don’t want in shots, but keep your home the way it is lived in – this is your story and these are your real images.

Editing, how much do you do?

Almost all of my editing is professionally completed on Lightroom, it’s my go too. However I’ll open up photoshop if Mum left some lipstick over Dad’s cheek or there’s a booger hanging out of your one year old’s nose. I prefer not to do any heavy touch ups as this takes away from the raw and natural beauty of the shot. For newborn images, I absolutely adore soft flaky skin and strawberry patches!
